Carving Death

he scythe of the Reaper cuts through the Halloween

air like a carving knife through the flesh of a Jack o’ Lantern,

as a flurry of bats encircle his dark endeavors. Death is on the lips of

trick or treaters as they float from door to door,

awaiting the one household that dares to refuse them a gift of candy or coins.
